Meet Carla, our QHSE Lead.
What attracted you to a career in QHSE?
I have always been a very organised person, perhaps to the extent of annoyance!
My personal life has always been run by lists, goals and scheduling…. which essentially translates into the fundamental elements of business management systems. I began my career in Quality Management which naturally evolved to Health, Safety and Environmental Management. I consider myself lucky to have found a career where I can utilise my genuine interests to help others improve the effectiveness of their businesses.
Describe your time with Prism so far:
I joined Prism in September 2024. I had attended a demo for Author as I was working as a QHSE Consultant at the time and thought it would be a good tool for me to offer my clients in conjunction with my consultancy. I was very impressed with both Author and Prism as an organisation. It was from there that discussions were had and I joined the team.
What is your favourite thing about working at Prism?
Definitely the mutual respect of all team members. Staff are not micromanaged and there’s not a shred of toxic hierarchy. Prism has the work / life balance values embedded within the organisation, and it’s something to be proud of. It is something many organisations promise; however I have never seen it implemented so well in any previous job roles.
